Where do lessons take place?
Lessons typically take place in the instructor's home. However, alternative arrangements may be made.
How long is each session?
Lessons range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes.
How much do you charge?
$40/hour
Do I need my own guitar?
It is highly recommended that students learn on their own guitar. Affordable rentals can be acquired locally. Instructor is happy to discuss the options.
What about books, exercise sheets, etc?
While some printouts/pdf documents are supplied by the instructor, depending on the skill level and goals of the student, one or more instruction books may be recommended. These will be purchased by the student, with the help of the instructor.
What if I start lessons and learn that I don't like the guitar?
That's ok! While you may simply need some encouragement to press on, it just might be the case that the guitar is not for you. You can stop taking lessons at any time.
Can't I just learn the guitar for free on the Internet?
While the Internet has brought numerous benefits to music students in recent times, the value of in-person one on one instruction remains unsurpassed. From instant feedback to personalized sessions and practice homework, having a private instructor goes a long way!
